Sydneysiders... can you help with this....?
Few years back, while living in Ashfield (at Church & Frederick Sts), I used to work in the city. I remember that I used to catch the train from Ashfield/Town Hall ( via Granville, most of the times), getting off there, going to the platform indicated in the station and catch the train to Town Hall (this happened quite often). Mind you I travelled that way for year and a half.
Now my husband is firmly convinced that I´m making a mistake and he says I travelled "always" directly from Asfhield to Town Hall... I don´t remember that happening very often...and I recall transferring from one train to another at the Granville Station.
Could you help my memory please? I´ll appreciate...

Your question is a bit confusing but i think i know what your getting at.
I'll try to explain this the best i can.
Your at Ashfield so you can only get like a local service into the city i don't think any express trains stop at Ashfield. If you did go to granville you went a very long way as you were going back out west in order to get to the city. The only reason i can think of for you going to granville is to get an express train into the city which would not be faster than getting a local from ashfield.
You may have done this but it was definitely the wrong way to go.
hope this jogs your memory you may have gone to granville but it was a mistake to do so.
