should i leave the light on for my cockatiel?
2 nights ago my cockatiel was woken buy the wind and got a real fright, i found him with his wing stuck in the door soaked with blood. the other wing looked quite the same. we took him to the vet and he got the all clear, they said he might be sore for a while. last night when i turned off the light he got really distressed and started screaming and bashing into the cage. i think he is still traumatized.
so i left the light on. should i again this night?
Cover the cage at night with the lights off, turn on a nightlight or even a small lamp and make sure the room is quiet. Also try asking your vet the next time you go.
