Door Flush
My Car Door Is Not Flush?
My car is a 1998 Pontiac Bonneville. Everything is very nice in the car except for the drivers side door.
When I bought it used the door was slightly out of alignment but not too bad.
Now I can almost fit my finger between the seal and the metal with the door still closed.
Are there any easy fixes or somewhere I can look online so I can fix it myself?
I am pretty handy but I am also pretty paranoid I will most likely make it worse since I don't know what I am doing.
In short.
Door isn't closing perfectly shut. It shuts and locks, but is not perfectly shut.
Additional information.
The door doesnt shut cooked. Or off kilter or anything. Just not shut all the way shut. Like it almost looks like when the door just kind of swings shut but doesnt latch completely.

This is an "adjustment" kind of thing
and, has to do with the two parts that go together to "seat"
the door and frame....
It is highly unlikely however, that you'll be able to make
this adjustment yourself.... for, most of these mechanisms
are adjusted by way of a special tool.... some call it a "star"wrench
These are commonly found in use at body shops and, should not take
any time for them to correct.... the charges should be minimal....
But, as you have already experienced... if this connection is loose enough to have shifted this much in this little time... it WILL get worse without repair
