I am looking for a double action door locks?
I have just bought a house with a pool, and I want to keep my 3 year old out of the backyard. But, I would also would like to be able to open the door from the outside. Is there a such a thing as a lock that locks from the inside, but, you are able to open it up from the other side?
What you`re probably looking for is a double Cylinder Deadbolt. Ck Lowes or HD. You may also consider installing a Spring Hinge. This will insure the door closes behind you. You might also check with local codes, they sometimes require a "latch" at a designated height just for the reason you are inquiring about.
