what does this lever on my guitar do?
i just started playing guitar. i recently purchased an ibanez RG170. i know what the two knobs on the guitar do but there is a small lever just above the knobs and i can't figure out what it does.
thats the pickup switch, it changes the focus on the pickups, push it 2 the top and itll pick up the neck pickup and a little on the middle pickup, put it in the middle and it picks up all the pickups with the middle being the strongest and push it down and it will pick up the bridge pickup the most with a little on the middle pickup, it is made to change the sound of the guitar which u will notice when playing with different pickup settings. Try tapping the pickup with ur finger and ull c what i mean.
