How should I decorate my bedroom?
I am 13, and I still have all my little kid stuff up on my walls. I am so over it, and I need something new. I just want a new theme for my room. All I want is new paint, new bedding, knew dresser knobs, a new lightswitch plate, and new stuff on the walls. I was thinking something like a beach theme, or a pink thing? idk! help please!!!
Start with the new bedspread. pick one that you like, and use the colors and style of it to choose your paint and accent colors, as well as any other accent pieces. some department stores will sell complete sets with matching accesories. i would stay away from the "theme" type rooms. if you like the beach, maybe use beach type colors, blue = water, beige = sand, and so on, to get the feel of the beach, without painting some goofy palm tree on your wall. once the novelty of a beachscape wares off the paint will still be there, so use color to get the effect instead.
