Help! I have a hair disaster please help!?
I dyed my hair blonde (yellow blonde) and then tried to dye it brown, but it went kinda green and patchy. My hair dresser said red helps get rid of the blonde and therefore the green, and this should be done before dying hair brown. PLEASE NOTE all of this dying was done myself, not at a salon.
So yesterday I bought some 'Deep Mahogany' colour but stupidly I also bought this self-perm kit from Boots. Needless to say, it didn't work and just made my hair go frizzy, sticky, knotty and it's falling out in clumps. So this morning I tried dying it the deep mahogany colour, but it's gone patchy!
So, should I buy some more of this colour and keep trying? The green is going, I think I just need more packs. Secondly, what can I do about the state of my hair since I tried perming it???!!!
PLEASE DO NOT suggest going to a salon, I cannot afford it.
I can afford all these products because they're so cheap, I'm looking at £50 min in a salon whereas I've been paying £3 per dye
I know you said don't suggest a salon, but logically, you've spent money on blonde and brown dye, "Deep Mahogany" dye, and a self-perm kit. Now you're thinking of getting some more packs? If you'd saved that money and gone to a salon...
But coulda, shoulda, woulda. If your hair is all fried, I really would just return the products you have not used, and go find a salon. I'm a little concerned your hair is either going to be totally fried or you'll be completely bald. You said it's falling out in clumps already! I don't think I would risk chemically processing your hair any more by yourself.
I know you said, no salons, but here's your choice: professional work or baldness.
Are there beauty colleges nearby where you can get a really inexpensive rate?
