hi,today as my car was in 'P' gear i felt a sudden revv.it behaved as if the accelerator had been stepped.

i took a look at the dash and the rev meter was at slightly more than 10(abt 13-14).later after i off the engine,i noticed that the foot brakes could not be stepped down easily like it usually could and also i could not depress the lever on the gear knob.anyone has any ideas?thanks!

while your car was in p gear thats park. if you turned anything on that draws power then the car wiil accelorate to keep the rpm up usuallr if you turn the steering wheel or touch the brakes even just a little bit . it does it all the time especially if your car is warmed up and the car is idling slowly, you usually do not notice it because your busy doing some thing else or you stepped on the brake in a way tat you were also touching the gas peddle. you cant press the button down unless the car is running and your foot is on the brake,also when the car is running your power assist brakes,powerr brakes,antilock all that is powered up then the peddle presses easier, try turning your steering wheel when your car is off
