Is it safe to make and store iced tea in this metal container?

I know about the dangers with plastic and I've been making my iced tea in plastic pitchers. I boil a little water, then pour it onto tea bags in the pitcher, so the pitcher gets hot. Then I add the cold water and ice and store in the refrigerator. I can't use glass obviously because of the boiling water, but would this Stainless Steel coffee carafe be ok to use?

if you plan to store the tea, it will develop a metallic taste.
