How do I get toilet paper out of the bathroom sink?
I have a bathroom sink that has a plug that works with plunger behind the facet. My 4 year old decided to stuff toilet paper down the sink and now it's plugged up. So far as I can tell there is no easy way to get the plug out. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I should go about clearing the pipe? Plumbing is not my strong point when it comes to home maintance.
The toilet paper is probably caught mostly on the plug. You can take the plug out by getting under the sink and unscrewing the nut that holds it in the drain. Take it out and pull the paper off the plug and then put it back on. It would also will be a good idea to take the trap apart (the s-shaped pipe) and clean out, paper may have gotten that far.
